Review: Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
Hello fellow Bri' Bookers!
This week I am reviewing Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I would give this book a 4 /5 stars. I would recommend this book to people that are at a higher reading level as some of the vocabulary and older English usage was difficult to understand.
One reason that I enjoyed the book is because it has a very interesting plot with a lot of plot twists and a lot of drama. There is also a lot of romance which is something that I absolutely can't get enough of. I really enjoyed reading this book, but it does require some patience.
I picked up my copy at Barnes and Nobles. It is a very nice copy and includes an introduction as well as footnotes.
The movie features Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, and Hugh Grant. I really enjoyed the movie and think that they did an outstanding job in recreating it on screen. It is a pretty long movie though.
Here are two links to a free audiobook podcast of the book.
Below is the movie trailer if you are interested. There is also a TV miniseries that has been made.
