Review: Girls Like Us by Gail Giles

Hello fellow Bri's Bookers!

Today I am reviewing Girls Like Us by Gail Giles. I would definitely give this book a 5/5. It is fantastic in every way.

The book centers around two girls, Quincy and Biddy. They are both "Speddies" which means that they are in Special Ed. classes. However, it is their senior year of high school and they are about to graduate and go out into the world. They live together once graduated. The story follows them after graduation as they get their first jobs and first home of sorts. Told from the points of view of both characters, this is a must read that had me turning pages constantly until the end. It is an emotional journey that really tugged on my heart strings. I was able to form a deep bond with the characters since they are so well developed, each with a unique personality and traits. This book tells what it means to truly have a family. I highly recommend this book to teenagers in high school. Please note there are a few adult things in this book.

If you enjoy this book, you may also enjoy "Wonder" by R.J.
